About the Mariela Franganillo Dance Company

The Mariela Franganillo Dance Company presents the classical Argentine Tango in all its forms. Led by Mariela Franganillo, a porteña (an Argentine from Buenos Aires) and one of the premier tango dancers of our generation, the Company produces tango shows, dances (milongas) and special events worldwide.

The Company runs a tango school in New York City for both social and professional tango dancers. The School helps social dancers learn the tango and offers a unique development program for professionals who want to pursue a tango career.

The Company incorporates the leading dancers, musicians and artists of tango. In every production, the Company strives to preserve the classical form and vocabulary of the Argentine Tango while connecting with the spirit of today.
